Released in 1983, Blue Monday didn’t just become a hit, it helped redefine what popular music could sound like.
Built around drum machines, sequencers, and a hypnotic electronic groove, New Order created something that felt completely different from the rock and pop dominating the charts at the time. The song went on to become the best-selling 12-inch single of all time and influenced generations of house, techno, and electronic artists.
This clip comes from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the hit ABC series that transformed the lives of families facing extraordinary challenges. 🏡💥 One of the show’s most memorable moments was the dramatic demolition of the original house, making way for a brand-new custom home built in just a few days. While the explosions became iconic television, the true mission was to provide families with safer, more functional homes they otherwise could not afford.
In the years that followed, the show also became the subject of broader discussion. Some homeowners found that their new houses brought higher property taxes, insurance premiums, utility bills, and maintenance costs. Although many families experienced lasting positive change, others struggled with the long-term financial responsibilities. The story serves as a reminder that even life-changing gifts can come with unexpected challenges once the cameras stop rolling. 📺✨
After failing for years, these 4 things actually moved the needle for me:
1️⃣ DFY products removed my biggest excuse.
I didn’t know what to create. I didn’t know if anyone would buy it. I didn’t have experience. A DFY product let me learn by selling before I ever built my own. The product already existed. I just had to learn the skill and how to sell.
2️⃣ Instagram is the best marketing tool for everyday people.
Three billion people use this app daily. You don’t need to pay for advertising. I built my business on short reels and carousels posted from my phone. The platform was never the hard part. Showing up every day was. And it compounded over time.
3️⃣ Automations gave me my time back.
I didn’t want to be glued to my phone talking to people all day. I set up systems for email + checkout so I wasn’t tied to DMs 24/7. It gave me more time with my family.
4️⃣ My belief was the real ceiling.
It was never the tech or the algorithm. It was me. Once I decided to start before I was ready, before I was confident, things started to shift. This decision is what helped me build the business I have now.

Released in 2007 on Favourite Worst Nightmare, 505 slowly grew from a fan favorite into one of Arctic Monkeys’ most beloved songs.
Built around a slow-burning organ line and Alex Turner’s vivid storytelling, the song explodes in its final minute with one of the most iconic indie rock moments of the century. Years later, TikTok introduced it to a new generation, but fans knew all along that 505 was something special.
This Macau landmark contains 98,000 gold leaves and is reportedly worth around $257 million. ✨🌳 Designed as a symbol of prosperity, the massive golden tree is made up of thousands of gold-plated leaves arranged into an intricate sculpture that has become one of the city’s most recognizable attractions. Beyond its striking appearance, it reflects Macau’s reputation for luxury tourism, grand architecture, and spectacular entertainment designed to attract millions of visitors each year.
What looks like a decorative centerpiece is also considered one of the world’s most valuable public displays of gold. Its scale, craftsmanship, and symbolism make it far more than just an art installation—it’s a showcase of engineering, design, and opulence in the heart of Macau.
Released in 1975, Welcome to the Machine became one of Pink Floyd’s most unsettling and thought-provoking songs.
To match its themes of alienation, control, and the music industry’s machinery, animator Gerald Scarfe created a haunting visual world filled with dark mechanical imagery and surreal transformations. Every frame was hand-drawn using traditional animation techniques, requiring thousands of individual drawings to bring the nightmare to life.
The car collection associated with the Sultan of Brunei is widely regarded as the largest private automobile collection ever assembled, with an estimated 7,000 vehicles worth more than US$5 billion. 🚗👑 The collection includes some of the rarest models ever built by brands like Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Aston Martin. Driven one car per day, it would take nearly 19 years to experience every vehicle just once.
Much of the collection was amassed by the Sultan’s brother, Prince Jefri Bolkiah, before financial scandals in the late 1990s led to legal disputes and many of the cars being left in long-term storage. Over the years, reports and photographs have shown that some vehicles have deteriorated in Brunei’s hot, humid climate due to limited use and maintenance. Ironically, the collection helped sustain several luxury automakers during difficult financial periods through massive purchases, making it both one of the greatest acts of automotive patronage in history and a reminder that even the rarest machines are meant to be driven—not simply stored away. 🏎️✨
Deep in the forest, a violet light waited inside a shard of black obsidian, resting on an old stump as if it had been left there for him. He should have walked away. He reached down instead and closed his hand around it. The light did not warm him. It poured in, found the dark places, and made itself at home. His skin split along lines of fire. His spine rose into something new. Bone climbed over his face until only the glow of his eyes was left. The shape that straightened up at the stump wore his clothes and none of his name.
