Using too much heat on hair can damage it because high temperatures weaken the hair’s protein structure. Hair is primarily made of keratin, and when exposed to excessive heat from flat irons, curling irons, or blow dryers, the protective outer layer (cuticle) can lift or crack. Once the cuticle is damaged, moisture escapes more easily, leaving hair dry, rough, and more prone to breakage.
Heat can also evaporate the natural water inside the hair shaft too quickly, causing internal stress that leads to split ends and brittleness. Over time, repeated heat exposure can thin the strands, reduce elasticity, and make hair harder to manage. Using heat protectant products, lowering temperature settings, and limiting frequency can help reduce long-term damage.

Discharge is a natural fluid the body produces to help clean and protect the reproductive system. It’s made by glands inside the body and carries away dead cells and bacteria, helping maintain a healthy balance. This process is completely normal and is actually a sign that the body is functioning properly.
The amount, texture, and appearance of discharge can change throughout the month due to hormone shifts. Around ovulation it may be clearer and more slippery, while at other times it may look thicker or creamier. As long as it doesn’t have a strong unusual odor, significant color change (like green or gray), itching, or irritation, discharge is typically a healthy and normal part of the monthly cycle.
Britain is planning to deport millions of immigrants as proposed by Rupert Lowe from Restore Britain. This initiative aims to reverse mass migration by ensuring that more people leave the country than arrive. The focus has shifted from border control to mass deportation, which could significantly alter Britain's demographics and economy. This plan reflects a stark political shift as leaders vocalize intentions that might have been previously unspoken.

There are several great ways to cook steak, and each method creates a different flavor and texture depending on heat and technique.
Pan-searing is one of the most popular methods. You cook the steak in a very hot skillet (often cast iron) with a little oil to create a deep brown crust through caramelization. Many people finish it with butter and herbs for extra flavor. Grilling uses open flame or high radiant heat, which gives steak a smoky flavor and those classic grill marks. It’s great for ribeye, strip, or T-bone cuts and works especially well at high temperatures.
Oven roasting is often used for thicker cuts. You can sear the steak first, then finish it in the oven for even internal cooking — this is called the reverse sear method when done in the opposite order (low oven first, then high-heat sear at the end). Sous vide is a precise method where the steak is vacuum-sealed and cooked in temperature-controlled water before being quickly seared for crust. This results in very even doneness edge to edge.
Other options include broiling (high heat from above in the oven), smoking (low and slow with wood smoke for deep flavor), or even air frying for convenience. The best method often depends on the cut, thickness, and how you like your steak cooked — rare, medium, or well-done.
Cooked rice can grow mold quickly compared to many other cooked foods because of its moisture content and starch composition. Rice is rich in carbohydrates, and once it’s cooked, the starch becomes soft and easily accessible for microorganisms to feed on. Mold thrives in warm, moist environments — and freshly cooked rice provides both. If rice is left at room temperature, especially in a warm kitchen, mold spores from the air can land on it and begin multiplying relatively fast.
Another factor is that rice is often stored in large batches and cooled slowly, which creates more time in the “danger zone” temperature range where microbes grow best. While mold is one concern, bacteria such as Bacillus cereus are actually a more common risk with improperly stored rice. That’s why cooked rice should be cooled quickly, sealed, and refrigerated within about an hour to slow microbial growth and reduce spoilage.
The North Korean dynasty will persist as Kim Jong Un has appointed his 13-year-old daughter, Kim Ju-ae, as the next ruler, ensuring 78 years of family leadership continues. State media highlights her presence at missile launches, with South Korean intelligence confirming her status as the official heir. This public succession planning raises concerns about defense budgets and regional stability on a global scale.

Banana peel is often used in DIY skincare because it contains natural compounds that may benefit the skin. The inside of the peel has small amounts of antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin A, and lutein, which can help support skin health and protect against environmental stress. Rubbing the inner side of a fresh peel gently onto the skin may provide light hydration and a soothing effect, especially for dry or irritated areas.
Banana peel also contains natural oils and mild fruit acids that can help soften the skin and promote a smoother appearance. Some people use it to help calm redness or reduce the look of minor blemishes. While it’s not a medical treatment, it can act as a simple, natural skin-conditioning option. As with any DIY remedy, it’s best to patch-test first to avoid irritation.
