Copa Di Vino, a single-serve wine-in-a-glass product, appeared on Shark Tank twice.
Founder James Martin first pitched the idea in Season 2, but turned down offers—especially from Kevin O’Leary—because the Sharks were more interested in the packaging than the wine itself.
He came back in Season 3 with stronger sales, hoping to land a deal. But again, he rejected the offers, frustrating the Sharks. Kevin accused him of just coming back to show off and said he “blew it.”
Despite walking away twice, Copa Di Vino became a big success. The company went on to earn millions in sales and became a widely available brand—proving James didn’t need the Sharks after all.
Steve Ballmer shouted his way into tech history and took that same fire courtside.
At Microsoft, he was loud, intense, and often doubted. Critics said he missed the mobile wave. But while they talked, he helped triple the company’s revenue.
In 2014 he walked away and spent $2 billion to buy the LA Clippers. Same energy, new arena.
Today he’s worth over $100 billion. Not because he followed trends, but because he showed up with passion and never let up.

Eben Dobson went on Shark Tank in Season 10 to pitch the Wisp, a 2-in-1 broom and dustpan.
He asked for $500,000 in exchange for 10% of his company. The Wisp had a few standout features, like electrostatic bristles and a foot-controlled dustpan, designed to make cleaning easier without bending over. It had made $3.3 million in total sales, which caught the Sharks’ interest.
But Dobson also shared that the business had lost $600,000 in 2017 and was $2.1 million in debt. Kevin O’Leary offered $500,000 for 50% of the company, saying it needed stronger management. Lori Greiner offered to promote it on QVC but didn’t want to invest.
Dobson hesitated, and O’Leary pulled his offer. He left without a deal, but Greiner later helped promote the Wisp on QVC, giving the brand a big boost.
Grab some popcorn and head outside for June’s night sky sightings, featuring our solar system’s finest: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn.
Experience the director’s cut: June brings the summer solstice to those north of the equator, which is the winter solstice for those south of the equator. This year, the solstice starts on June 20th if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere. Th is when the Sun is above the horizon longer than any other day, making it the longest day of the year. The situation is reversed for the Southern Hemisphere, where it’s the shortest day of the year.
Catch views of our galaxy during the Milky Way “”Core Season.”” This is the time of year when the Milky Way is most visible as a faint band of hazy light arching across the sky all night. You’ll need to be under dark skies, away from bright city lights, if you want to try and see it.
