Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, has long preached that entrepreneurship—not a traditional job—is the real path to wealth. He argues that employees trade time for money, staying stuck in a cycle of wages and taxes, while entrepreneurs build assets that generate income and grow over time.
According to Kiyosaki, the key difference is control. Employees rely on a paycheck and are limited by salaries set by their employers. Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, create businesses, invest in assets, and leverage financial systems to build wealth. He often points to real estate, stocks, and business ownership as ways to escape the “rat race” and achieve financial freedom.
For Kiyosaki, the biggest risk isn’t starting a business—it’s staying in a job, relying on someone else for financial security, and never breaking free from the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle.
