How to recomp (lose fat + build muscle)👇

Focus on these 3 things:
1. Lift weights ~3-5x/week & focus on progressive overload
^This is what drives the entire process of body recomposition - increasing load, reps (sometimes sets), and/or improving form over time sends your body the signal to build muscle (while nutrition drives leaning down).
2. Eat the right amount of calories (close to maintenance - not in a big deficit or surplus)
An aggressive deficit will likely just lead to looking skinner and an aggressive surplus will most likely lead to looking fluffier.
Eating close to maintenance will give you enough calories and nutrients to build muscle while still losing body fat.
3. Eat the right amount of protein
For most people, this will be around 0.8-1.2 g of protein per Ib of bodyweight. If you’re leaner and/or hunger is high, aim towards 1.2g/lb. If you’re overweight and/or hunger is low, aim towards 0.8g/lb.
Bonus Tip: Stay patient
It takes consistency + time to see a significant change
Give it at LEAST 4-6 months of consistency before expecting a big change
