AI filmmaking is gradually evolving toward AI agents, and I’m excited to have had the opportunity to explore OpenArt’s new feature, Director.
I provided Ori (OpenArt’s AI agent) with a few images and asked it to generate a video trailer based on them, complete with brass-impact cinematic music.

Although I intentionally provided no story or narrative direction, allowing Ori to interpret the images and develop a potential concept on its own, it thoughtfully proposed a trailer structure complete with pacing, story beats, and visual details.

That process genuinely felt like working with a creative collaborator. Rather than building everything from scratch, I found myself stepping into the role of a director—reviewing ideas, giving feedback, and shaping the final result.

The first version lacked dynamic camera movement, so I gave more specific direction about the shots and motion I wanted. What you’re seeing now is essentially the second-generation result, with only minor editing adjustments from me.
This workflow is clearly more efficient. As AI agents become more capable and personalized, I believe video production will become faster, easier, and more accessible. Creators will be able to spend less time on technical execution and more time focusing on ideas, storytelling, and creativity.
