“What did I eat to lose 21kg in 4 months?”
I’ll start with what I didn’t have:
❌ Boring foods which tasted like cardboard
❌ Meals I could only stick to for 3-4 weeks until I got unbearable cravings
❌ Foods that only fit into a certain ‘diet’ model (keto / paleo / carnivore…)
I didn’t confine myself to any of those because I had done it before
AND IT DIDN’T WORK
I was stuck for years losing some weight and gaining it back without knowing what to do
I’ve heard 100s of people say the exact same thing
Now, some of them did their research and now say:
“It’s just a calorie deficit” 🤓
“I know what to do, I just need to do it” 🥱
Although they may be right, it begs the question:
“So why have you still not lost the fat and built any muscle?”
And then the excuses pour in…
Here’s the thing, information only gets you so far
There’s a boat-load of variables that play into a sustainable fitness lifestyle, which is ultimately what you want
So here are some of the things you should consider with eating:
✅ Eating foods that keep you full so you don’t get cravings (usually higher fibre / lower calorie foods)
E.g Berries; leafy greens - (most fruit/veg); oats; microwave popcorn
This makes staying in a caloric deficit easier
✅ Eating foods that digest well for you
Identifying foods that make you feel bloated and try cutting them out 1 by 1
✅ Eating foods that you enjoy!
I get my minimum protein in earlier in the day and leave myself 300-400 cals to eat whatever I want at the end of the day
✅ Higher protein foods (for earlier in the day)
Eggs; Whey; chicken breast; tuna; white fish are my preferred sources
I found the avg. calories I ate with these foods avg. weight across some time
And J knew whether I was in a calorie deficit or not and whether or not it’s sustainable
