Episode 1 - What’s the best exercise to shed the belly?
@azri.zakariya
If you want to get your energy back & lose the fat once & for all…
Keep reading. I have some good & bad news for you
I’m Azri, I’m a final year medical student & an evidence based fat loss coach
And I used to be fat.
I was 46lbs heavier with the annoying love handles sticking out my shirt
I tried EVERYTHING you can think of
1. Fad diets (keto, paleo, carnivore etc.)
2. Endless cardio routines
3. Blindly guessing exercises & calling it a ‘workout’
4. Every supplement which social media gurus said were ‘the best’
And I was still stuck with belly rolls I could grab a whole handful of
I hated looking in the mirror in disappointment…guessing what to do
I had to change…
I couldn’t let another summer go by being too embarrassed to take my shirt off
I did my research. And I stumbled upon some frustrating news
I was running fast in the wrong direction
So…the bad news first:
I didn’t need to be jumping around my living room doing HIIT workouts 5x a week
And I didn’t need to starve myself of all the chocolate & sushi I liked
I was relying on willpower instead of what’s sustainable
The good news…it was simple
There was no ‘best food / exercise’
Just a matter of energy balance:
How your body knows if it should hold onto your fat or let go
So how did I hack the equation?
1. I ate foods I liked using the 80/20 rule
(comment ‘80 20’ if you want my free diet guide)
2. I used a 4x week strength training split (not PPL)
3. I used walking as my calorie burn tool
4. I ate zero cal jellies, low cal ketchup, frozen berries, 60 cal chocolate bars to make my deficit easy
5. I found a 16:8 fasting split that worked for me (8am - 4pm) with black coffee
6. I used whey and & meats to hit my protein intake easily (~200g)
It all came down to…‘consistency’
I made it easy to stay consistent & maintain
